One phone, one proxy

Plug iPhones in with USB and each one becomes its own proxy with its own mobile IP. Only the programs you point at a proxy use that phone's data. The rest of the computer stays on Wi-Fi.

The proxies are yours. No shared pool of strangers' phones: traffic goes from your computer to your iPhone to its carrier.

Features

HTTP and SOCKS5 on one port
One port per phone. Ports stay the same across restarts and replugs, so your config never changes.
No leaks
Every connection and DNS lookup is bound to the phone's USB link. An unplugged phone fails the request instead of using Wi-Fi.
Remote access
Turn it on and each phone gets an HTTPS proxy URL with a password, reachable from any computer. The relay cannot read the traffic.
Routing check
Warns when the computer would send all its traffic through an iPhone, and fixes the network order with one click.
App and CLI
A small menu bar app, and the ownyourproxy command for scripts and servers.
Many phones
Plug in as many iPhones as you have USB ports. Each one is tracked by its serial, not by its network interface.

Runs where your phones are

One installer per system. The macOS and Windows installers need no administrator password. A Raspberry Pi with a powered USB hub can host the phones and share them with Remote access.
SystemInstallerWhat it installs
macOS 14+OwnYourProxy.pkgthe app in ~/Applications; its window installs the command
Windows 10/11 64-bitOwnYourProxy.msithe app and the command (on PATH) for the current user
Linux (Debian 11+, Ubuntu 20.04+, Raspberry Pi OS)ownyourproxy-arm64.deb, -amd64.debthe command and a systemd user service
curl -fsSL https://ownyourproxy.com/install.sh | sh # Debian, Ubuntu, Raspberry Pi OS

Use from other computers

Remote access gives each phone a proxy URL you can use from anywhere, relayed by OpenTunnel. It is an HTTPS proxy: curl, Chrome, Playwright and most HTTP libraries accept it.
ownyourproxy remote on curl -x "$(ownyourproxy url 1 --remote)" https://api.ipify.org
Anyone with the URL uses that phone's data. Share it like a password.

Questions

Do I need an app on the iPhone?
No. OwnYourProxy uses Personal Hotspot over the USB cable. Turn on Allow Others to Join once, plug in, tap Trust.
Does the rest of my computer use the phone's data?
No. Only programs pointed at a proxy use the phone. If the network order would send everything through an iPhone, OwnYourProxy warns and fixes it.
What happens when a phone is unplugged?
Requests to its proxy fail. They never fall back to Wi-Fi, so your real IP never leaks through that port.
Can an AI agent control the iPhone at the same time?
Yes, with ghosthand in XCTest mode. See Use with ghosthand.
